Amazing, Astounding, Fantastic, Thrilling, Fantasy and Science Fiction, etc.

This was womzilla's joke at the party last night. We decided that me winning the Hugo could be summed up by all the classic magazine titles except Galaxy and If.

Also, fjm took a photo which very realistically captures my emotions. And you can see my Hugo too. "My Hugo". It's going to take me a long time to get tired of saying that! It still seems incredible. I was surprised and delighted to win a Nebula, I am gobsmacked and awed to win a Hugo.

You do know I'd never have written Among Others without you? I'd never have thought of making a reflective LJ post about the landscape of my childhood into a fantasy novel if so many of you hadn't suggested it.

(I will write up and post what I remember of my speech either here or on later.)

Also, happy birthday tanac.
