Herons: 16
Foxes: 1
Hawks: 2

And all shall be well and all manner of things shall be well and this blood pressure can just go back to where it's supposed to be any time now.

Just in case it's waiting for my signoff, I'm officially on-board with this "blood pressure can just go back to where it's supposed to be" thing. I just want that down in print, in case there are questions later.

Two game wardens, seven hunters, and a cow? Different kind of list, I hope.

High blood pressure sucks. But there are lots of different drugs to treat it. I hope they'll keep trying different ones till you find one that a.) works and b.) doesn't make you feel like shit.

And countless cows?

I very much enjoyed meeting you, and I hope to see you again at some similar event! And to that end, I too send wishes that your blood pressure will behave like it ought.

It was great to see you (twice!), and I'm glad you're home safe. Hopefully now you can take advantage of Canadian health care and get the blood pressure sorted out.

I remain glad of our conversation and I hope your numbers represent better immediately.

The fox is quite a fine score. I was certain I saw one in our yard a few winters ago, but checked pictures for it and found it wasn't a fox but a coyote! In South Minneapolis!

I'm now immediately unsure. I want it to have been a coyote, because I've seen foxes before. But aren't coyotes light coloured?

Dear Jo's blood pressure,

You would be happier if you were back where you belonged. Prizes and treats await the obedient blood pressure. Go now and collect them.

Okay?

Me.

What everyone else said to the blood pressure.

I'm used to seeing herons from trains, but beavers are rare. Was that on the Lake Champlain part of the trip? (That's the only place I've seen one in the wild.)

Wow. Cool animal list!

I agree about the blood pressure thing. Advice that works for me, and may or may not work for you: My doctor has put me on three different alternative meds for high blood pressure. Ashwaganda (an herb from India) worked fine but put me to sleep to the point where I started drinking caffeine just to keep my eyes open - counterproductive. Arginine (a specific formulation of the amino acid with a little bit of, I think, folic acid and glycine in it) did not put me to sleep at all and had no other side effects, which was nice. It had a marginal affect on my blood pressure. Probably just enough to keep me at a 'normal' level if I also exercised, ate right, yadda yadda. But now I'm on a concentrated herbal formulation in capsules (: "Diureti-Cleanse" liquid phyto-caps by Professional Solutions, which is a division of Gaia Herbs - I don't know if they're in Canada) and since my particular blood pressure issue originates in my kidneys, a diuretic appears to be the best solution. I haven't checked recently, but my blood pressure a few weeks ago was hovering just above ideal, which is good enough in my opinion. And the caps don't have any side effects that I've noticed.

Have you been given any medication for the blood pressure? There are several alternatives, so I hope the doctor can find something to suit you. I had side effects from mine for a few weeks, but after a while they disappeared and it's just a case of taking 2 pills each morning.
